No space for Royalist: What does this signifies?

Nepal's landmark election have wiped out royalists. They haven't been able to stand in toll. Instead CPN Maoists have been sweaping everywhere. Royalists have always said that people want monarchy but does this election support that claim? It seems people are fed up with king and they want president. But what do you think?
